I'm trying to add a video to a slide in my powerpoint
program. I'm able to use and see the video when I use
the program on my computer, but can't use the video on
someone else's. When I right-click on the video and
click on "edit movie object", I see that the video file
is located on my computer and not in the presentation
itself. When I right-click on the file and get "what's
this?", it states "...If the movie or sound is stored in
the current presentation, powerpoint display [contained
in presentation]." I want to store that video in my
presentation so I can then save the presentation onto a
CD so I can go from place to place to show the program.
How do I permantently store the video in my powerpoint?

The only sounds or movies that are stored in the presentation are WAV
files (and animated GIFs if you count those as movies). Everything else
is linked. However, you can save your presentation to CD and have the
movie work. You just have to copy the presentation and the movie file to
the CD rather than just one file. You can find more information here at
the PPT FAQ entry for "Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or
links break when I move or email a presentation":
