Adding users to Frontpage and subwebs

I'm having an issue adding users. FP extensions 2002 are loaded and we
have a root web and multiple subwebs. I need to add a user to be able
to edit the root web and a few of the subwebs. I went through adding
the user in the Administration page and then added them to the subwebs
individually. The user can log in to the root web but not the subwebs
in the FP client. Any ideas? Thanks.
 
Check your subweb permissions to make sure they are using the same permissions as the root web
