Adding users to an Enterprise

I have two domains, D01 & D02. I would like to add a user
account to both domains. The problem I run in to when
trying to create the account in the second domain is "The
user login name you have chosen is already in use in this
enterprise..." I would like to use the same user id
(user01) in both domains. How do I make the possible?
This is under a Windows 2000 & 2003 environment.

I posted this in the General section, but this is more like an
Advanced question.

Do you have both domains set up that users can use
the same UPN suffix for logon? If they do, both User1
IDs in D01 & D02 would have identical User Prinicipal Names.
That is not something permitted even in seperate forests, if
there are trusts between the domains.
 
No, the UPN suffix for logon is different. The first one
is @D01.net and the second is @D02.net the two domains do
have trust between them.
