Adding Up Times

I'm trying to develop a time sheet for our small company.
I can get the spreadsheet to acurately compute the time
for each day, but when I try to sum this column of times I
get a number that is not only wrong, but makes no sense.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help!

Rick,

Times are stored as a fraction of a 24-hour day (e.g., 6:00 = 0.25, 12:00 =
0.5, 18:00 = 0.75, etc), so you can add up times as normal numbers. Use a
custom number format of [hh]:mm or [hh]:mm:ss to prevent Excel from "rolling
over" at 24 hours.

What specific problems are you having?

Thank you! The custom format worked great -- it was
simply rolling over on 24 hours and giving me the total in
a format that made no sense. Thanks again!
