I am making my first movie using movie maker (in XP). Have imported pictures
from my digital camera dragged them into the storyboard and have try to add
titles. However the titles don't seems to stay with the appropriate picture
or stretch across 2 pictures. What am I doing wrong???

FWIW...PhotoStory 3 is a better
choice when working with still
shots. And it offers more options
for positioning text on an image.

PhotoStory 3 For Windows

Ok...in Movie Maker...try changing
to timeline view...select an image
that you wish to add a title to.

Go go...Tools / Titles and Credits /
Add title on the selected clip.

Enter your text / Done.

You can reposition the Title Overlay
by dragging it left or right in the Title
Overlay track. And you can change
the duration of the Title Overlay by
placing your pointer on the edge until
the double red arrow appears. Then
you can drag the double red arrow...
a tooltip will appear to show the change.

Still finding it quite difficult to get title to line up with the actual
photo even working on the timeline, particularly if you delete a photo. Also
is there a way of getting the title to appear at the top or bottom of the
photo and not through the photo? I can left, right align and centre the title
but it still comes across the photo.

Did you try dragging the titles left or right?

If you delete a photo...delete the caption also.

===========================
To place the title at the bottom of an image...
try...Change the title animation / Subtitle.

If you want the caption completely above
or below the image, you'll have to prepare
them in a digital image editing program.
