Is it possible to add a title, a keyword, or comment to a batch of selected
..jpg files in Windows XP? If so, how?

Yes...Just right click the selected group and from the
menu...choose / Properties / Summary tab / Advanced
button. Left click the category you wish to edit and begin
typing.
