Adding title at the clip

Help me, please.
I want to add a title at the begining clip. But when I enter text for Title,
this text does not appear in preview window. And the Title does not transport
to the storeboard/timeline after pressing button "Done, add title to movie".
How can I solve this problem ?

Can you add any other titles, like at the end, or over the top of a clip?

It does not matter. I click on the button "New project" and add title at the
empty movie.

So you haven't got a video file in the timeline and can't add a title?
Must be something wrong with the MM istallation I should think, I can't come
up with anything else.
Do you have V2 or 2.1?

Thank you for your answers. I also wanted to reinstall Movie Maker, but don’t
know how to do that, because it’s a part of Windows XP Installation.
