I insert my picture in the page then click on the picture and I was told
there is a A that I click on to add text to button ..I don't see the A for
text . I see word art .

How do I add text to my jpg button ? I am using Front page 2000..

The A for text is on the Pictures toolbar, not the Draw toolbar: -
View->Toolbars->Pictures
However, using the text tool on the picture toolbar will convert your .jpg
button into a .gif, possibly resulting in a considerable lowering of
quality. All changes to images should be done in an image editor, not
FrontPage.

Best to add text to your images in your image/graphic application.

Thank you!

Would you recommend a good image editor to use with frontpage ?

Thank you!

You may be able to quite a bit with the free program IrfanView
www.irfanview.com.

Note that all image editing should be done *outside* FP - i.e don't open the
program inside FP

I use Microsoft Image Composer (no longer available - was supplied with
FrontPage 98 and FrontPage 2000), and Paint Shop Pro. Paint - supplied with
all copies of Windows - is also useful.

Thanks everyone ..I will look in my fronpage 2000 disk I wonder if I have the
image composer ..I been using paint ...Or I could try a free program ..:)
Thanks again
...

Image Composer is on the 2nd CD of the standalone version of FP2000.
