Does anyone know how to add new tasks to the Win 2000 task scheduler using
group policy ?
I want to use the task scheduler to run some batch files on about 50 Win
2000 client computers.
I wanted to use the task scheduler (as oposed to logon scripts or start-up
scripts) because:-
1. I only want the task to run once, not each time the computer starts or a
user logs on
2. I want to be able to schedule the task to run during an off-peak time
3. I want the batch file to run under the context of an administrator
I can see a number of settings in gropu policy to restrict users from
tampering with the task scheduler, but I cannot see any way to create new
tasks with the standard GPO settings.
Can the above be acomplished by creating a customised ADM file ?
If so can anyone advise on the steps necessary ?
