Adding Task Bar Item

How do I add an item to task bar? (bottom right corner) I
dropped it in but it doesn't come back after reboot. Have
put the file in every startup folder I could find! I know
how to remove something...and the file is not on that
list.

The option to appear in the Notification Area has to be programmed into the
application. Look in the applications options for this setting.
