I just bought a new laptop and am now using Windows Mail instead of Outlook
Express.

I have a backup of my stationery I used with Outlook Express. How can I add
it to the Windows Mail stationery folder? I think I copied and pasted it in
the wrong place because when I open up a new email, go to Format,
stationery, I do not see my old stationeries there at all.

What did I do wrong?

They moved the location of the stationery folder. Its now in the message
store. Compose a new message with any stationery and then go to View |
Source Edit and click on the source tab and then look for the <BASE href=
statement and that will indicate the location of the stationery folder that
Winmail is using.

I finally got it! I found where I moved my old stationery folder and moved
it to the desktop. Then I opened up a new email in Windows Mail, got to
their stationery folder and then just dragged my folder to it and it worked!
I am so happy! Thanks for all your help on this.

Yes, I now notice that!

I did get my old stationery folder moved to the right place. Thanks for
your help!

Very few. By segregating that group to a private server, it became off of
USENET and so there are many fewer users than used to be there. There are
certainly many other stationery groups and forums where WinMail is used.
There are a LOT of stationery users upset by Walmail.

I'm glad you got it resolved.

Hi Steve,
I have Windows Mail and belong to a few stationery groups including the
private one:)...the only problem I have had is with Applets...they crash my
Windows Mail. I hear Windows Live Mail Sucks when it comes to
Stationery....We just had our 600th WET.....I have been with the MS groups
since 1998...sure would hate to see that all end.

Unfortunately Microsoft has no interest in Stationery. They indicated that
way back in 1998.

cheers,

steve
