Hi,

I want to convert my powerpoint to HTML and then do voice over for my
lectures. The slides should page in time with my talk. Any ideas?

Mark, now that you have Windows Movie Maker, you can save your slides to image
file and use Windows Movie Maker to make movie from your presentation file
and add sound in it.
If you don’t want to convert powerpoint to video, you can convert ppt to
flash video which the size may be smaller, with some tools just as ppt2flash
converter which others suggested. You can find the tool ppt2flash converter
here: http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/ppt-to-flash/

Thnaks - Flash is above my pocket but if I can do the job cheaper that
would be good.

Indeed, this proved the right way to go. I generated pictures from
Powerpoint and then edited the sound in with Moviemaker. The result
is large (155Mb) and I recorded with a good quality mike through the
Audacity recorder. I then generated a wmv file using Moviemaker.

One problem - when I create the HTML file with FP Express I used their
insert movie facility. This generated the following HTML.

<img dynsrc="l21.wmv"
width="655" height="507" start="fileopen">

Two points.

It works fine under IE6 but my Firefox browser will not run it.

Also, the wmv file appears fine under IE6 but there is no scroll bar
allowing people to forward and freeze the movie.

Any suggestions?
