Two questions
1. I add a song to a slide but it only plays on that slide. How do I get it
to play on a series of slides that are set to automatic play?
2. I have added a movie to a slide but it won't auto play. When I was adding
it I clicked on automatic but it still doesn't.
Thanks

Yes, thanks. It is PP07, the movie file is a WMV and it will play in
powerpoint but you have to click it twice to get it to start. I need it to
start when the slide comes up. I have it set up to be a slide show. I have
not tried it yet but the help on the audio should work after I make a wav
file out of it.

Hi

You don't have to make a wav, you can still use your mp3, but the
instructions will show you how to make it play over several slides. Of
course, if you want to distribute the presentation then using a wav has the
advantage of (possibly) being embedded.

As for the video, you definitely have it set to 'after previous' or 'with
previous' in the custom animation taskpane? Depending on all sorts of
factors (like the size of the file, the grunt of your computer, what's
running in the background, etc) videos can take a while to start - perhaps
the first click actually pauses the slow to start video and the second
starts it? In other words, what happens if you just leave it alone for a
while?

Does it have to be a WMV file? Mplayer plays the mpg file. When I added a
slide and inserted the movie from file, I get 2 entrys in the custom
animation window, in this order
0(clock) play file name
trigger: file name
1(mouse) pause file name
When I let it go, it goes about the length of the clip and then says its
finished. Apparantly when I click twice it stops the first one and starts the
second one
