Adding songs to an existing powerpoint, 2003

I am trying to add a song to a power point with the lyrics to the song on 17
slides. I have gone through ALL the instructions, but the song does not play,
ever. It says it's there, but no sound comes out while in power point. Any
ideas or suggestions would be great as this is for Vacation Bible school, and
I have deadline...
 
Okay, I know got the song playing...but am now not advancing automatically
with the slides and the songs keeps looping, even though I have it selected
not to. It is looping the first 10 secs or so and the slide is staying on the
1st slide. NE one else hates computers?

It would be helpful if you specify which version of PowerPoint you are using
and which instructions you refer to when you say "ALL the instructions."
Since it's not working, I'm guessing you haven't referred to the
instructions here:
