Adding sender to address book?

If it's only the sender you need to add, R click the address > Add to
Contacts...

Thanks for the quick reply. I think your suggestion works with Outlook
Express but not Outlook. I've tried right clicking everywhere and add sender
to address is not an option.

Also, I don't know what you mean by"mail support mode"?

Open a mail message.
R click on the senders address.
You see no "Add to Contacts..." action?

I see no "add to contacts action." What mail support mode would be a
problem? How do I find out my mail support mode?
Thanks,
PJP

No mail support mode would be a problem.
Post clear, detailed information about the problem you are having. Do not
make us try to guess what version you are using or what problem you are
having.

Depends on your mail support mode which you failed to state.

1st, I am using Outlook 2002 with recent "improvements" by windows update,
No, the only choices in the right click menu are:
Cut
Copy
Paste
Clear
Select All

One reason I asked what the problem mail formats would be. I have several
pop accounts that I access directly over the internet, no exchange server or
mailbox is involved.

Contacts is the only address book in Outlook. It is enabled as an email
address book.

Thanks,
PJP

Are you sure you're opening the message and then clicking on the address?
Sounds to me like you haven't even opened the message.

Yes, I am sure. See inbox - double click on message - see message open.
Point mouse to to header where FROM is located, right click - these are the
only choices.

I see this behavior if I click on an empty TO:, CC: or BCC field, but right
clicking on the address gives me the correct context menu.

After furious head scratching, Peter Pepper asked:

Not in any version of Outlook I've ever used.
Those are the choices you get from an unopened message.
