adding second hard drive

Hi

I want to add a second hard drive to my xp pc and put Linux on it. How
will I switch between drives ?

While installing Linux you can choose to have a dual-boot system. At
start-up, you choose which operating system to run. Once you've booted one
OS, you will not be able to access the hard drive of the other OS as the
file systems are different.

He will be able to access the information on either drive :P The file systems being different isnt' really that big of an issue, it's just a matter of having the right software installed :)
