Syveria,

Right click on empty space in taskbar, select properties, select "start
menu" tab, click on customise, click advanced tab, scroll window to "run
command" option and place a check mark in the radio button. Click apply
and Ok as required to return to desktop.

By the way, "Windows key" + R gets a run dialog box.

Run Command Missing

Right click the Start button and select Properties, then
Customize under Classic Start Menu. Scroll down and put
the check mark in the Show Run entry. If you're using the
Start menu, its on the Advanced tab.

Or check your settings here, but be extremely careful
when editing the Registry. If you don't know what you
are doing, LEAVE IT ALONE!: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Policies\Explorer
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Policies\Explorer

Value Name: NoRun
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)

Interesting. Both yours and Carl's methods simply open a windows explorer
window of the c:\windows\start folder. No run or anything listed anyplace.
Run is on my start menu when I press the start button.

I did press the toolbar selection using the right click taskbar method.
Created another toolbar, deleted it. Now all my open windows applications
on the taskbar are little tiny squares. There is also a tiny, tiny up/down
selection box in the taskbar. Kinda like it.

did you look in the programs that is where mine is, I
added it from the control pannel then the appearance and
theams, thentask bar and start menu... I think you will
find it there I added it to my desk top from there.

You didn't read it carfully.

Assuming XP Start Menu
Start - Control Panel - Taskbar And Start Menu dialog - Start Menu tab -
Customise button - Advanced tab- Run Command checkbox

Classic Start Menu
Start - Control Panel - Taskbar And Start Menu dialog - Start Menu tab -
Display Run (note there is no Advanced Tab here, but there is an advanced
button, so don't click the button)
