In the Dell Dimension DIM 2400 is there anything
peculiar or non-standard about the RAM? I propose
adding RAM to a friend's slow Dell unit, have not yet
uncased it, and I remember annoying difficulties (years ago)
with proprietary Dell CD drive drawers.

Dell's website is a very good online resource for their personal
computers. Have you tried looking for the model number there?

And the picture here doesn't look too scary.
