I am able to access the remote workstations by running \\computername and
then the icons for scheduled tasks and printers shows up for the respective
computer.
My problem is that when I double click on the printers folder it only shows
the local printers, not the network printers. Is there some setting
somewhere I need to change to be able to get the printers to show up
remotely? We are printing using TCP/IP addressing.

TIA

have you shared the remote printer? posting net view \\computername here may
help.

I don't want the printers shared. I want to be able to install the printers
on the remote workstation to be used from the remote workstation. The final
result should be the same as if I had added the printer while physically
sitting at the remote workstation. Is there a way to do this?

TIA

Ok, I read that, now I'm really confused.

using the following criteria how would I get it to work. I want to run a
cmd file from my work station to effect the change.

local computer name = \\local
remote computer name = \\remote
printer ip = 192.168.xx.xx
Printer make = HP
Printer model = 5Si

TIA
