Adding pictures to word processor document

I have an 80 page journal on microsoft works word procesor. How do I add
photo's without mixing up and spreading all the paragraphs? Running windows
xp home.

Insert your picture into word, then double click on the picture. This
will open up a window where you will select LAYOUT. Now in layout
select BEHIND TEXT. This allows you to move the picture anyplace you
want as well as size it. Create a empty section with line feeds and
then move the picture into that area. I have created a 160 manual that
way. If the text is in the picture just enter line feeds until it is
under the picture.
