In Lotus you can enter 2+2 hit enter and you have four.
In Excel you must enter +2+2 hit enter and you have four.
Is there another way to do this?

=2+2

You can achieve this by checking "transition formula entry" (Tools --
Options -- Transition -- Sheet Options). But you'll probably get side
effects, I doubt that anyone would recommend it.
