Adding new device on the fly

I have installed the XPe in my detination ..now i want to add a custom usb
camera like device .I have the the XP drivers,inf files and all. Cant I just
install the pnp device like in xppro or do I have to rewite the image and add
device as custom component ? is this the only way?

Can anybody confirm that one cant automatically install new device on XPe
...or do I have to rewrite new image everytime I need to add a new device ?

Any help or hint will be highly appreciated .Thank u in advance

If you included the components that support installing things, you can
do so. Personally I do, as we often get new devices, and because I had
an absolute git of a time with the graphics drivers.
 
If you have enabled and included the PNP support in you runtime, then
you can add the drivers.

Keep in mind, you should have supporting components included in your
runtime to get your device work.
