Adding music clips

I am trying to add multiple music clips to the timeline. I currently have
the audio narrative in the timeline. I high-light each of the music clips in
the collections and add them to the timeline. They individually appear just
to the fight of the narrative in the time line. I go to the one next to the
narrative and hook on to it to drag it over the narrative and to the position
where I want it but it will only fit overlapped right at the very end of the
narrative, I want it towards the first but can't get it to drag over there.
Once the first music clip is in the narrative, still in the wrong place where
I don't want it, it won't allow me to drag any of the rest of them anywhere,
let alone where I want them in the timeline. Any Answers ?????????

You'll have to process the audio in multiple passes... what you are seeing
is how it works.

Put all you narrative where you want it and, with nothing else on the
timeline, save it as an audio file..... save your movie with the music
included, and then make a new simple project to add the narrative.

Or do it in reverse, narrative with the video and another pass to add music.

I'm not very smart with all of this. When you say save as an audio file, how
do you do that ? How do I save the movie with just the music?? When I make
the new simple project, do I add all of my pictures like I did in the
original project ?? How do I get them all combined once I do all of this ???
Sorry I am such a pain, I am just pretty new to this program..........
Thanks for your help !!!!

Hey, we're all new at this... for the first day.

if you only have sound on the Audio/Music track and you save the movie, MM2
will assume you want a WMA file instead of a video and give you a set of
audio quality choices.

For the new simple project, it's just 2 clips.... the saved movie with the
first layer of audio brought in as a single clip.... and the saved 2nd layer
of audio as a single WMA clip that you use on the Audio/Music track.
