Adding Multiple Transitions

I've got a few hundred photos I'm converting to a movie and would like to
add the same transition to each photo. Is there a way to do this in one
step, rather than dragging and dropping a transition to each and every
photo? That's very time consuming.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Yes there is,

Put the first and last picture onto the time line, overlap them and add the
transition effect. Then select all of the rest of your pictures and drag
and drop them onto the timeline with your mouse/cursor in the overlap
between the first and last....and thats it

Hi Again,

Just remembered.....MM2 crashed on me when I did the same as your doing
right now...it crashed because I added music, and it all ended up a bit too
much for the program....in the end my solution was to just do the pictures,
turn that into an AVI file, Import the AVI file and then add the music.
There were around 250 snaps and they were all at 2710 dpi...and that mage
them BIG...they were that size because I have a dedicated film scanner
(Cannon) and because its always best to scan at a higher res, fix any
problems and then reduce the image to something more usable.

Thanks very much. I was able to add the transitions fine. Worked just like
you said.

Haven't added music yet, but if I do I'll watch out for this particular
problem.

Note for John Kelly...

After you touch up your images - run a batch process in photoshop to make a
new set (a copy) of the images at 640x480 (video resolution) - then import
those into Movie Maker, then it won't have to process such big files.

Before using movie maker 2 to make your movie, have you
tried using photostory2 in the MS Plus! package ($20).
Altho it can't control the manual transitions sequence to
the extent that I would like (would also like to see some
of the mm2 transitions available for photostory 2), it
does a nice job automatically and the VCD that results is
playable on most DVD players. Photostory can be imported
to MM2 and parts of it split so that transitions can be
added where the sequence is split, but the result can't
be imported into photostory 2 in order to make the VCD.

Hi there,

Frankly No..

I have had a look at it, and I really do not understand why it was ever
released. Compared to MM2, well its just nothing really, and why on earth
would you spend $20 so that you can assemble a movie using it so that you
could then import it to MM2 and then split it for the effects, why on earth
would you want to do that??? Just throw it away, and use MM2.
