In addition to my own e-mail account, I am responsible for two department e-mail accounts. I have been accessing these through the web. I tried to access the same through outlook by following the instruction of our IT guru.
"In Outlook: go to Tools, E-mail Accounts, Next, Change, More Settings, Advanced tab, and add the two other account usernames that you want to see (XX and ZZ). "
I was able to do the above. I interestingly I was never asked the password for either of these new accounts. However I am unable to see any of the folders (Inbox, send, draft etc) for each of the e-mail accounts. I get a message "Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder location"

So I logged out of outlook, logged in to outlook by using one of the new e-mail accounts. I got a message saying I was not authorized to do so.

I would appreciate if some one could please let me know if there is something I or our IT guru needs to do to enable me to access multiple e-mail accounts on the same exchange server. I use outlook 2002 with windows 2000 OS.
thanks!
Ben

You will see only the folders that you have permission for. And to see any
folders at all, you need at least the Reviewer role on the top level of each
secondary mailbox.
