Adding movies in Powerpoint 2007

I have several mpeg-1 movies in a ppt presentation. They all worked fine as I
built the presentation. Powerpoint closed on its own when I stepped away.
after re-opening the presentation, the movies now don't play, rather I get
the white box.
The actual movies are in the same folder as the rest of the presentaiton,
and as I said they played properly before. I have tried deleting and
re-inserting a movie on one slide to no avail. HELP. I must give this
presentation at the end of the week
 
Move the presentation and the videos to a folder with a short path.
(Example C:\test) Reisnert the videos, did that solve it?
