Adding licensed music clips

I'm trying to make my first movie / slide show of my childrens' soccer
season. I bought and downloaded a song from a music web site which I want to
use as an audio clip for backround music, but when I try to import it into
Movie Maker I get a message that Digital Rights Management content cannot be
used in Movie Maker. I purchased the recording of the song and the license
which goes with it. The song will play on Windows Media Player, but I can't
use it in my home movie / slide show. Is there a way I can use any of these
purchased songs?

Thanks. I looked at your site, but still find myself unable to import
purchased songs into MM. I keep the "Copy protect music" check box
unchecked, but the songs I purchase are still copy protected, and therefore
won't copy into MM. MM won't allow me to "copy what I hear" so I'm stumped.
Songs that I've copied onto my computer from old CD's I have aren't copy
protected, so they work fine, but new songs I purchase online don't work.

try the following:
1) connect a suitable stereo cable from your computer line out (sound) to
your computer line in or microphone in socket
2) start playing your music clip on your computer (eg from cdrom drive or
from a file)
3) within windows movie maker select "narrate time line" by clicking on the
microphone symbol near the slide show time line
4) adjust the "Mic" input level so that the music is not into the red area
(ie not overloading)
5) select "start narration"

this should record audio for the full length of your movie and may require
you to set the cursor on the time line at the start of your movie before
starting to record

this way you can play any copy protected music and place it into your movie

I had the same problem.
Moviemaker won't import songs with DRM, (Songs purchased on Itunes,
Musicmatch, and just about all the others).
What I do is purchase and download the song from itunes, and then download
the same song in mp3 format from a p2p program, such as Bearshare. It's alot
easier than burning the song to CD, and than converting to mp3.

Maybe I'm overlooking it, but I can't find the answer on your site.
Would you please tell me how to find it? I don't see a search option
on your site.

Thanks!
