Adding IE 6 To XP Desktop

I am running IE 6.0 (xpsp2) in XP. How do I add the IE
icon to the desktop. (I am referring to the the actual
IE properties icon and NOT a shortcut)

When I go to Tools/Internet Tools/Advanced, I do not see
a check box that says "Show Internet Explorer on the
Desktop". What happned to that option?

In Windows XP, go to the Display control panel, Desktop tab, Customize
Desktop. There is a checkbox in the top section ("Desktop icons") for Internet
Explorer.
