Adding identicle named PC's on the same domain

Hi,

I have a query regarding adding a machine with similar names on the same
domain.
I would like to swap a machine out (server name : Live1) with a new spec
machine (server name :New1). Live1 has a static IP address of 192.168.10.1,
I would like New1 to have the static IP 192.168.10.1 and computer name :
Live1.

Should I delete Live1 computer from AD (and then rename the computer name
New1 to Live1) or do I need to make a DNS entry change ?

disjoin them from the domain. delete their names from ADUC. rename new1 to
live1. Join in to the domain. Reboot. Drink beer.

We should standardize this solution!

Maybe we can make it, "Drink a shot of Crown Royal, followed by a cold
beer!"
