adding hours that exceed 24hr

Adding time in my worksheet and I am having a hard time when it comes over 24hr. I have tried custom with no luck
Any answers?
 
Use custom format [hh]:mm

Did I say something in my reply that was opposite to hundreds of hours? At
least have the courtesy to try out a suggestion,
AFAIK custom format [hh]:mm works for thousands of hours

The OP probably thought that as there were only 2 h it would only cover 99
hours.

Sorry Peo, about not trying it first
I did put it in as [hh]:mm
The column sum for the cel was ####
I am using for a formula sum=(e4:e34)
 
Check to see if column size is too small, only reason you would get ###
otherwise would be if the
time was negative, just pull the right hand column border to the right and
it should come out alright
 
That made the ### sign go away but the answer was wrong. 2412.00 it should have been 100:30 hrs
