Hello All,
If I add and rename a group policy object to a newly created OU from an old
OU, does any of the changes effect the old OU or is the changes only applied
to the new OU? In other words, I just would like to copy the group policy
object to another OU and if I need to make changes i want them only to apply
to the new OU. Is this still linking?
Thanks,
Altria

hello Chris,
So, Is there a way to copy the GPO contents (ie. settings) to another GPO?.
I want to keep the GPOs distinct based on the OU. For example, suppose i
wanted to deploy an application to a set of users in the one OU with the GPO
I added from another OU. I only want the users to have software in one OU
and not the other. Do I have to constantly create separate GPOs for every
OU?
Thanks,
Altria

a.. Backup/restore of Group Policy objects (GPOs).

a.. Import/export and copy/paste of GPOs and Windows Management
Instrumentation (WMI) filters

Group Policy Management Console can be used to manage Windows Server 2003
Domains as well Windows2000 Domains but must be installed on Windows XP or
Windows Server 2003
