Hi all! Thanks in advance for help! Someone in my office came to me an
asked me if I knew anything about Microsoft Word. I answered YES
However he wants me to add footnotes to his 130 page document. Is ther
any help you can give? I haven't a clue on how to get started. Pleas
help! thanks again

Well, you can add footnotes manually to a document by
using Insert>Footnote (Word 97, Word 2000) or
Insert>Reference>Footnote (Word 2002, Word 2003); Word
adds the footnote number and moves the insertion point
into the footnote area, where you can type the footnote
text.

Or are you looking for a way to automatically add
footnotes to the document? You could probably use a macro,
assuming that there is some sort of pattern for footnote
placement and contents. Ask a question about this in a VBA
newsgroup, for example, in word.vba.general.
