Adding Flash

Am working with PPT 2000 and was wondering if I can add Macromedia Flash
content to a PPT slide? If not, maybe is best to do all of this in flash. I
like the diversity of both programs, but know PPT a bit better than Flash.
Maybe if there are some of you on this board whom also know Flash could tell
me if maybe it would be best to just do my thing in Flash rather than PPT?
See, what I am doing will involve music, fancy transitions, lettering that
spells out, and moving objects. Do not think all of this is possible with
PPT and if it is, can have as many options as Flash does. But maybe I am
wrong and someone can shed some light on this? Would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

What I know about Flash is just shy of zilch, but here is a link to
explanations by people that do.

Hi Mark,

you can do a lot more animations with PowerPoint 2002 (and 2003, of course).
Maybe upgrading would be an option for you?

But you can also place Flash animations (SWF files) as an object on your
slides.

If you are planning to distribute your show to others, I would recommend
using PowerPoint, most people are more familiar with this program than with
Flash.

Kind regards,
Ute

My situation is exactly backwards of yours, i am
experienced in flash programming and animation
techniques, I know that it is a very awesome program with
tons of capabilities that will fullfill every intention
you mentioned. PPT, however, I am not positive on the
capabilities on everything it can do, and it just doesn't
seem to be anything but cut and dry bullets and squares,
overall even the best powerpoint presentations have been
far below anything i've seen in flash. period.

if you go for flash, you will probably have to go in
depth and it will probably take you a lot longer to
acomplish your goals, but in my opinon, the reward is far
better.
