Adding fields to distribution list in Outlook 03

I want to add fields besides name and e-mail to selections to select members
for my distribution list. All I see is e-mail and Name. To help me select I
would like to see the category filed as this field has the information that
tells me what names to select.

According to the contacts you can't sort by category and keep them that way
when you are selecting contacts for a distribution list.
 
That dialog box cannot be configured. Those are the only two fields that
reside in a DL, so Microsoft saw no need to include others.
 
create a view in contacts that shows the names and email addresses of the
categories you are selecting from. then copy and paste into the DL.
