Adding field to Report

What is easiest way to add existing field to report? I use the "Add Existing
Fields" but when I use the tabular feature on the Arrange, my column header
ends up in my detail line and my detail field ends up on my column header.
Then I play around and get it right but I must be making this difficult!

I add them from the field list (one of your icons in the toolbar) and then
insert it where I want it.
 
I figured it out. I should not drag the field to the column header and then
do the tabular thing but drag it to the detail and then do the tabular
thing.
