Adding existing hard drive with xp onto new motherboard

I'm having trouble mounting my current hard drive with
windows xp pro onto my new motherboard

with a pentium 4 1.6ghz. After I successfully install every
hardware and start up the computer I

get as far as the Windows Loading Logo... well instead of
showing the logo I get a blue screen

error. I do not get a chance to read what it says, it
flashes once and after that it restarts my

computer only to do the same thing. If anyone has a
solution please respond back with an email or a reply here.

When you install Windows, all sorts of MoBo-related drivers are set
up. The installation will not work with a different MoBo. You need to
do a Repair Install from your original CD, which should allow you to
avoid having to reinstall all your 3rd-party drivers and application
software. This doesn't always work! For (much!) more information, do a
Google search on "XP repair install"

Greetings --

Normally, and assuming a retail license (many OEM licenses are not
transferable to a new motherboard), unless your motherboard is
virtually identical (same chipset, same IDE controllers, same BIOS
version, etc.) to the one on which the other WinXP installation was
originally performed, you'll need to perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place
upgrade) installation, at the very least:

As always when undertaking such a significant change, back up any
important data before starting.

This will also require re-activation, unless you have a Volume
Licensed version of WinXP Pro installed. If it's been more than 120
days since you last activated that specific Product Key, you'll most
likely be able to activate via the internet without problem. If it's
been less, you might have to make a 5 minute phone call.
