Adding drives

My cimputer at work has the following drives:
C - Hard disk
E - Netwoek Drive
F - Network drive

When I go to add a CRW drive, it automatically allocates
itself as E and I lose my network drive. Is there any way
to prevent this. Also, when I go to use a pen drive, it
won't work. I think there is a conflict with the allocated
E network drive.
Any comments would be much appreciated.

1.) You can reassign non-system non-boot partition drive letters in Disk
Management
Start|Run|diskmgmt.msc

2.) Check Event Viewer and Device Manager for errors and or non-starting
devices.
