HOW CAN I ADD AN ICON FOR EBAY & GOOGLE TO MY DESKTOP?
I AM NEW PC OWNER AND NEED EXPLICIT DIRECTIONS.
I USE WINDOWS XP AT HOME.
THANK YOU.

First, do not use all caps in newsgroups, as this is comparable to shouting.
As for your question: go to the webpage; click File (on the
taskbar)>Send>Shortcut to desktop.

#1- I USE CAPS TO SEE. I HAVE VISION PROBS.
#2-IF I KNEW ALL THE INS & OUTS I WOULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR
HELP.
#3-IF YOU DON'T WANT TO ASSIST NEW PEOPLE, WHY DO HANG
AROUND HERE? JUST TO BE NASTY & RUDE?!

First of all, your the one being rude.
Secondly, your question was answered.

Exactly - I guess his parents had prior insight into his personality when
they gave him the initials 'R.C.'! :o)

Thank you for the support. I had to reread my post to see where I had gone
wrong. Was relieved to read that you thought it was O.K. as well.
Certainly don't want to offend! Thanks again!

Your welcome

Hi RC,

I'm sorry to hear that you have vision problems. Most people reading here
will not know you have vision problems; they will think you are shouting if
you post in all caps.

Besides the method Tom suggested, you can open the eBay page, right-click
anywhere in the white space on the page, and choose "Create Shortcut" from
the context menu.

Another troll...I don't know why I'm dignifying you with a response - but
I'm sticking up for Tom again. Neither of us were rude, the only rude people
in this thread have been the original poster and you. All Tom and I did was
to point out that posting ALL IN CAPS was considered yelling and in Usenet
(and other) circles is considered extremely rude.

But, to quote you, "your parents had to be brother and sister".

And this isn't MS, by the way...

The only problem with this statement is that neither Perdita nor
Richter have any connection to Microsoft. Why would people "hate to
come to Microsoft" based on the rantings of two USENET posters?

We didn't rant - you're confusing us with the original poster...

I consider any of your postings rants, but perhaps they're better decribed
as ravings, so maybe you're correct when you say you weren't ranting
(although I daresay you've done that, too).
