Adding Dates

Is there a way to add dates in Excel? For example if I
have a cell with a date in it, can I have another cell
that takes that date value and adds 2 days to it? If so,
how? Thanks!

Just add

=A1+2

A1+2 is the default; there's no similar way of adding a year, and the
relevant links on Chip Pearson's site are redded out just when I need them.
