Adding data field to an existing form

Hello out there

Is there anyone who can help me with what I think should be a fairly simple task? I want to add a new field to an existin
form and cannot figure out how to do this. I am a fairly new user and basically self taught, so any help from all of you pros out there surely will be appreciated

Fields are usually added to tables - the underlying source of the data
shown on the forms. Is that what you mean? If so, open the table in design
mode and add your field. Then open the form in design mode and amend the
record source of the form to reflect the addition of the new field. Then
you can add a control (textbox, etc.) and set the control source to the new
field.
