adding currency in a form

I know this is a silly questions, but I cannot seem to see to add 4 fields in
a form. I tried using the =sum([amount], [amount2],[amount3],[amount4]), but
it does not seem to work. Any suggestions?

The Sum function is for columns, not rows. If you want to add the values in
a row you need to do something like this

=[amount] + [amount2] + [amount3] + [amount4]
