I am trying to add my contacts folder to my address book in Outlook XP and
don't see the Tools, Options I used to see in Outlook 2000. How can I add
this folder to my address book? Is that an option you can turn on or off
for a profile in Exchange Server?

Thanks!!

Right click on your Contacts folder, go to properties, outlook address book.
Can you tick the box there?

If not, go to tools, e-mail accounts, view/change address books, and make
sure you have the Outlook Address Book option there. Then try right-clicking

If the Outlook Address Book service is already loaded, right click on a
contact folder and select properties. Go to the Outlook Address Book tab to
enable the folder and/or give it a meaning name.

If the option above is disabled, select Tools | Email Accounts | 4th radio
button | Next | Add button to add the Outlook Address Book service.

I added the Outlook Address Book, but the option is still grayed out in
Address Book properties under Contacts. I closed and re-opened Outlook and
the options are unchanged.

I added the Outlook Address Book as a service, but is still shows the option
as unavailable in the properties of Contacts.

Did you get a message that the change doesn't take effect until after you
restart Outlook?

Oh... the option will not be available if the contact folder is coming from
a shared mailbox. Only contact folders located in your primary mailbox,
personal folders, and public folders can be used as an address book.

Not a shared mailbox. It is the default Contacts folder. Did they turn
something off in Exchange Server?

No, the server doesn't really know anything about it. Try removing the
Outlook Address Book, restart Outlook, re-add it, and try again.

Finally got it. It wasn't showing up in the Directory options. I closed
Outlook a few times and rebooted a few times and it showed up. Thanks!!
