Adding Borders/lines

Suppose I have already entered information int all the cells and just want
to add a dark bottom line to a series of cells. If I highlight the cells in
a column and select the heavy bottom border, it only puts it on the bottom
cell.

Format>cells>border, click the inside presets, then click the bottom, that
should leave
you with 2 horizontal lines, now select the type of line on the right and
the click the lines
to the left.. Click OK
