Hello!

How do you get certain software, for example, Windows Update, to run on a
W2K computer without adding high level (authenticated users) to the
Administrator's group on the local machine?

I'm guessing the registry is not available to users that aren't
administrators.

Thanks!

Mark

Be careful about adding "authenticated users" to the local administrators
group. This means that anyone that can authenticate (this includes from
the network) would have god rights on that machine. You can try adding NT
Authority\Interactive to the local administrators group to see if you get
the desired results.
