what is the best way to add mp3 files in a webpage? I want to add several
files on one page and have people click on each one to play them
individually.

thanks

thanks Corey for the links - it looked like your last link might help me
out - I liked the idea of putting them altogehter in a form and letting
someone choose by clicking on the down arrow...and I've implemented the code
on this page, but it won't work - have you got time to look at it and see if
you can figure out what's wrong?

thanks again

The easiest way is to create normal hyperlinks to them after importing the
mp3 files into the open FP web.
The user clicks the link....the file will open/download and play in the
user's chosen media player.

I don't think so. I have been using Flash for some media files and adding a
little bit of code to bypass that problem.

after doing a lot of googling and hunting and pecking....seems like a lot of
it has to do with the new IE 7 version and its 'security' ... so now ... if
you have 10 media files on a page....IE will ask you 10x if you want to
allow the activex control to run....geez... they were talking about a patch
... but looks like it won't happen - I'm sure someone will come up with a
workaround.

I did look at trying to do the flash thing as I have flash ... but
unfortunately - don't have that type of learning curve on it - and gave up.

so I redid the page - and put the link on and it does open up - but in a new
page with just the media icon on it - don't like that - also put up the drop
down list that Corey put from the link:
http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/help/ftopic4075.html but it won't work for
some reason -

any help appreciated - link is : http://www.passion-for-truth.com/romans.htm

thanks

Pam

Why not create a link for each, like your Roman 1-5 link for each, this way the file will open
directly in the whatever the user has configured to play mp3 files and you will avoid the ActiveX
issue.
