I have a small peer to peer network with 4 Win 98se machines.

I having problem seeing the XP machine on the network.

Everytime I run the network wizard, I get a Spooler Sub System App error.

Message reads, "spooler sub system has encountered a problem".

Any suggestions

I have the same problem running a system with Windows ME to my XP
computer. I followed the instructions of making a special program on a
disk with XP and then use that disk on the ME computer but that didn't
seem to work in that I still can't share info between the two computers.
I had a system of two ME before I updated one to XP and the system
worked ok.

Do you have fat file system on the XP machine.Windows 98 will not see ntfs
files that XP may be useing.
Hope this helps, I am no expert here either

Rubbish it is IRRELEVANT what file system a computer uses on a
network, 98 machines can see files on a different computer.

What dos matter is that you have the correct WORKGROUP names set up
and that you have TCP/IP (do not use Netbeui as its too old) with the
correct IP addresses etc.
