I have a home network set up where I have established a network with the
following devices: one HP Laptop running Vista Premium (this links to the
network wirelessly), one Dell desktop running XP and another Gateway desktop
running XP.
I have been able to setup the network so that I can access files from the
Laptop and Dell Desktop from all the computers. My files or shared drive on
the Gateway can't been seen by either the HP or Dell. It appears neither of
the other 2 computers can communicate w/the Gateway. When the Vista computer
did a diagnostic by pinging the remote host and it did not recieve a
response. I get a similar error when I try to access the Gateway from the
Dell computer. Since I can access the shared files and drives of the Dell and
HP, it appears I have configured the Gateway Networking settings properly.
Has anyone run into this problem? I have spent about 5 hours on this and
can't figure out why the Gateway is having this problem. Any guidance would
be greatly appreciated. Thanx!
