Good Day!
When I try to add an additional domain contraller to my
active directory domain I receive an error that the domain
cannot be contacted or it is not an active directory
domain. If anyone could assist me in resolving this
dilema,I would be most grateful. My network is a simple
192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 private addressed network. I
want to be able to have multiple AD servers for various
services and allow access to the internet for network
users. I also want them to be able to have dial in and
Internet VPN connection capabilities.
Thanks in advance.

hth,
Thanks for the URL. But I think the problem is more a DNS
issue. I may need to set up a forwader and make sure the
Existing Domain Controller can be resolved in DNS, which
when I perform an nslookup it does find it, so I am still
at a loss as to why it wil not resolve it durring the AD
installation process.

You will not need forwarders until you are setting up Internet access.
The link I sent you deals with how to add an additional DC to an existing
domain. DNS has to be set up right for it to work though.
See:

Setting Up the Domain Name System for Active Directory

Between these 2 links and the first link you should be able to work it out.
