I am using my laptop at home logged on as system administrator. I am trying
to install Quicken 2000. I have checked that Administrator priveleges allows
me to install new program. There are two log-in domains for this computer.
Domain1 is used at work on the network. Craig_Computer is what I use
stand-alone.

Okay - what is the problem?
You only told us your plans - not what happens when you try to execute them.

(What you have is a domain logon and a local logon - not two domains..)

-I open the control panel, then I click on "Add-Remove Program" then I click
on "Add New Program". I insert the CD as instructed, click continue, and
then click next after I select the .exe file from the CD menue. At this
point the system has a long pause then exits the installation sequence
without any message.

(Pardon my jumping in)
Not sure why you're trying to do it that way ..what happens if you just put
the CD in and run setup?
