Adding a picture to a background

Hello dear members of the microsoft.public.powerpoint newsgroup.
Please I need your help on the following.
How to add a picture to a content template background ? I would like
this picture permanent for any new slide.

Go to View>Master>Slide master and then right click (near the edge of the
slide) in master view and choos "background". Click on the colour pull-down
in the resulting menu and choose "fill effects". On this menu there will be
a "picture" tab where you can insert any picture you like. This will then
apply to any new slide after you close master view. (p.s. This is for
2003 - the procedure may well be different for 2007)
